I'm Confused?!!

I have been gone from my blog since March of this year because I have been dealing with my elderly parent's needs. I am so glad that of the three of us kids, I chose to stay in the same town and state as my folks. I have a great relationship with my Mom and though my Dad has Parkinson's with Dementia, he still knows me most days.

I logged onto what I thought was Blogger tonite, and found that my blog had been moved to something called, Bloglovin. I will have to go back and read all of your previous posts since March to find out what the heck is going on. I have 1 1/2 days of school left, making up snow days AFTER Memorial Day-ARRGGHHHH! Hope that all of you already out for the Summer are taking along, exhale and are ready to enjoy some well deserved time off.

I had to pin your cats, gorgeous. You must be a lovely daughter. Our jobs have taken us away from my folks (6 hours drive) and my dad also has Parkinsons, which is hard for my mother and I wish I was closer like you are, for those harder days.

Good to hear from you Pat. All the best to you as you care for your parents.
Btw, love the cat pic! :)

I'm just as confused as you are. I made myself a Bloglovin account and it transfered the list of blogs I follow from Blogger, though I still see them and log in to Blogger like before. I don't know how it would do that without you setting something up.

Hi Pat,

Thinking of you while you take care of your parents. I have no idea! And ummmm, we go to school till the 20th because we are really cool.

I have a make-up day on Tuesday too! We had 2 snow days, a fog day, an ice day, and a flood day this year. My school is out in a rural county, and we don't have *any* built in snow days!

Hmm I'm confused too. I also set up a bloglovin' account (just a couple of days ago), since I wanted to be sure to still be able to find all the non-blogger blogs I read when they no longer show up on my blogger dashboard, (which I think will be happening July 1? Or maybe I have it all wrong?). But anyhow, I still log in to blogger to edit my blog, or make new posts, or check my stats, or whatever, and your blog address is still a blogspot address so i don't know where bloglovin' came from for you. Strange...

Oh, and here in NY, if I wasn't a retired person, I would be still be teaching until the end of the school year June 21st! Yes, JUNE!! Another whole month! And meanwhile, we have frost warnings for tonight and have to cover the garden (no kidding) and it snowed 18" yesterday on Whiteface Mountain (Lake Placid) about an hour north of here.

Meanwhile, MY cat is here purring on my lap as I type, keeping me toasty (and furry), sitting up straight and tall while I work around her.

I totally understand the parent thing. My parents aren't around any more, but I was lucky to be only 1/2 hour a way in their later years, when my son was young, while my brothers live in different states. I know how the caretaking can totally wrap up your life. Treasure them while they are still here!

Hi Pat, Totally with you on the caring for parents - I'm so lucky that we were able to get a place for my mum (with dementia) only 5 minutes drive away... Dad has come to live with us, and we see her every day for lunch and dinner. I believe this is helping as she still recognises us with a beautiful smile when we arrive each day, even though the dementia is very advanced. I'm also doing a weekly art group with the residents, which is a joy (even though mum is really too advanced to participate much at all)
